Philip José Farmer
Philip José Farmer was born in 1918 in North Terre Haute, Indiana.
He attended Bradley University, receiving a BA in English in 1950.
His novella The Lovers, published in Startling Stories, won a Hugo Award in 1953.
He won another in 1968 for the story "Riders of the Purple Wage" which was written for the
Dangerous Visions series and a third in 1972 for the first novel of the Riverworld
series, To Your Scattered Bodies Go.
Farmer has written also under a number of pseudonyms, the best known being Kilgore Trout.
David Feintuch
David Feintuch has been a photographer, antiques dealer,
and attorney. He lives in a Victorian mansion in Michigan.
In the Seafort Saga, he has written Midshipman's Hope,
Challenger's Hope, Prisoner's Hope, Fisherman's Hope, and
Voices of Hope. He has received the John W. Campbell Award for Best New Writer.
Raymond E. Feist
Raymond Feist has produced some remarkable novels. Most fall into his
Riftwar Saga consisting of
Magician: Apprentice, Magician: Master, Silverthorn and A Darkness at Sethanon
along with his Midkemia series consisting of Prince of the Blood and The King's Buccaneer
plus The Serpentwar Saga consisting of
Shadow of a Dark Queen, Rise of a Merchant Prince,
Rage of a Demon King, and Shards of a Broken Crown (1998).
He developed the basis for the award-winning game, Betrayal at Krondor.
Jasper Fforde
Jasper Fforde was born in Wales.
He spent several years as a focus puller on big-budget Hollywood productions.
In the early 90s, he began to spend much of his free time writing short stories and then novels.
His first published novel was The Eyre Affair.
Lynn Flewelling
Lynn Flewelling was born in Presque Isle, Maine in 1958.
She received a B.S. from the University of Maine, 1981.
Past jobs have included house painter, sales clerk,
teacher, necropsy technician and copy writer.
She lives in Bangor, Maine.
Alan Dean Foster
Alan Dean Foster was born in New York City in 1946 and was raised in Los Angeles.
He received a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and
a Master of Fine Arts in Cinema from UCLA in 1968-69 and then
spent two years as a copywriter for an advertising and public relations firm in Studio City, CA.
His first sale as a writer was a long Lovecraftian letter, purchased by August Derleth for
the bi-annual magazine The Arkham Collector. His first novel, The Tar-Aiym Krang, was
published by Ballantine Books in 1972. Many, many novels followed.
Alan Dean Foster's correspondence and manuscripts are in the Special Collection of
the Hayden Library of Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona.
Foster and his wife live in Prescott, Arizona.
Diana Pharaoh Francis
Diana Pharaoh Francis grew up on a cattle ranch in northern California. She has a Ph.D. in Victorian literature
and currently teaches literature and writing at the University of Montana-Western. She lives in Montana with her
husband, son and an oversized lapdog. Path of Fate is her first novel.
