Victoria Strauss
Born in Exeter, New Hampshire in 1955, Victoria Strauss
graduated from Vassar College in 1977 with a degree in Comparative Religion.
She has worked at a variety of jobs including store clerk, secretary, and house
painter.
Her first novel was The Lady of Rhuddesmere with two more
young adult fantasies following; Worldstone and
Guardian Of The Hills. Her first adult fiction, The Arm
of the Stone, is from Eos.

Mark Sumner
Mark Sumner is the author of two fantasy novels of the Wild West, Devil's Tower and Devil's
Engine, both from Del Rey. He describes himself as a fanatic game player, and he continues to
write regular columns for gaming magazines. He lives in the hills south of St. Louis with his wife and
son.
