Into the Woods Into the Woods by Kim Harrison
reviewed by Sandra Scholes
Readers of Kim Harrison's novels will have some idea of what to expect with her latest offering of short and long stories which are based either in or out of the Hollows. They feature bounty hunter and witch heroine, Rachel Morgan, and includes a special Hollows novella. This is a large book, so her fiction is more novella than short stories, and it takes the reader through her realms where nothing is what it seems when elves and other beings lurk in the shadows.

White Witch, Black Curse White Witch, Black Curse by Kim Harrison
an audiobook review by Jennifer McCann
The latest installment of the misadventures of Rachel Morgan kicks off at the beginning of the end -- the end of Kisten's life (or unlife). Kisten's murder at the hands of an unknown assailant has haunted Rachel since she woke up with no knowledge of what happened. Working with a psychiatrist, Rachel begins to put things together but is still hampered by Jenks' "forget" spell. Meanwhile, a close friend is hospitalized after what appears to be a banshee attack.

The Outlaw Demon Wails The Outlaw Demon Wails by Kim Harrison
reviewed by Michael M Jones
Rachel Morgan, witch and bounty hunter extraordinaire, finds the sins of her recent past catching up to her in full force when the demon she thought gone for good, Algaliarept, appears out of nowhere, thoroughly upset and out for revenge. It seems that even though he's in prison, someone has been summoning him out of his cell and siccing him on Rachel. Another demon, Minias, is in hot pursuit of the demon Rachel calls "Al," and wants her help in returning the fugitive to his proper confinement.

For A Few Demons More For A Few Demons More by Kim Harrison

You'd think that after a while, the universe would give Rachel Mariana Morgan, witch and bounty hunter, a break. After all, her best friend is a living vampire who's drinking blood again, the shady machinations of her ex-boyfriend left her saddled with an ancient artifact of immense power, a prominent drug lord wants her to work for him, and demons want her, body and soul. Rachel knows it's really bad when Newt, an insane demon, shows up in her home in the middle of the night, and it only gets stranger, and worse, from there.

A Fistful of Charms A Fistful of Charms by Kim Harrison

Meet Rachel Mariana Morgan, witch and bounty hunter. She has a spectacular talent for getting into the sort of trouble most supernatural beings can only dream about. As part of the independent runner firm, Vampiric Charms, she's staked out something of a name for herself among the supernaturals (Inderlanders) in a world where vampires, werewolves, witches and pixies have come out of hiding and live out in the open. Of course, in Rachel's case, it's not always a -- good -- name. There are lots of people who want her dead and/or out of the way.

Every Which Way But Dead Every Which Way But Dead by Kim Harrison

Some people have it easy. They haven't gone into business for themselves as a bounty hunter, with a hyperactive pixie and an actively-prowling vampire as their partners. They haven't made a deal with a demon to take down an ancient vampire crime lord. They haven't made the occasional dubious alliance with an elven drug runner. They don't have attempts made upon their life on a daily basis.

The Good, the Bad, and the Undead The Good, the Bad, and the Undead by Kim Harrison

Rachel is back with a vengeance along with Jenks, her pixie sidekick, and Ivy, the living vamp. The story begins about a month after the conclusion of Dead Witch Walking. Rachel is still struggling to earn her half of expenses at the church with Ivy. On the surface her new case appears simple -- Sara Jane's warlock boyfriend has disappeared. Normally, the police force for supernaturals would handle the case, but they have a 72-hour waiting period. Rachel jumps at the chance to be involved.

The Good, the Bad, and the Undead The Good, the Bad, and the Undead by Kim Harrison

A not-so-routine job as consultant for the Federal Inderland Bureau quickly throws Rachel into a major mess of trouble. It seems that someone's been killing off witches proficient in ley line magic, and like it or not, the human-biased FIB needs someone with Rachel's qualifications and skills to help investigate. To Rachel's delighted surprise, the trails all seem to lead right back to drug lord/crime kingpin and respected businessman, Trent Kalamack, who gave Rachel no end of grief last time they met. It starts to look like maybe this time, Rachel can take down her nemesis properly. Right?

The world has been transformed by tomatoes. In our search for genetically engineered food and medicine, we created a nasty virus in tomatoes that has nearly wiped out mankind. This virus has unveiled paranormal races to the world as they are immune. Society has splintered with all the upheaval and paranormal races have set-up residence in the Hallows -- the Las Vegas for the paranormal.

Rachel Morgan is a witch and runner working for Inderland Security, in an alternate world where forty years ago, a bioengineered disaster wiped out a great deal of the world's population. In the process, it exposed the existence of the supernatural communities that had long lived alongside humanity. Now, in modern-day Cincinnati, Rachel works to take down unlicensed and black-art witches, rogue Weres, criminal leprechauns, overzealous vampires, and all the other inhuman nasties that get out of line. Problem is, she's been having a run of bad luck with her cases.

Dead Witch Walking Dead Witch Walking by Kim Harrison

Rachel Morgan was an excellent Inderland Security runner. She could catch any criminal -- witch or pixy or vampire or werewolf -- and bring them to justice. Emphasis on the was. Lately she's had a string of bad luck. Inexplicable things keep happening to prevent her from being the success she knows she can be, and now she's out on runs that a rookie could do. When she catches her latest prey, a tax evading leprechaun, the little lass offers her three wishes. That would be a bribe, if offered to an IS agent, but Rachel's realized that this is her big chance to quit.
