As for my personal reading, I was in the midst of a couple of rather fat non-fiction tomes when a fat fantasy epic muscled its way to the forefront of my attention. The latest installment of the Malazan Book of the Fallen from Steven Erikson arrived -- all 890 pages of it. I'm a little over halfway through and already I think it ranks among his best. I'll give a more detailed report in a future issue of SF Site.
